Colorado Springs Sports Hall of Fame Returns October 27

This year's class will be inducted at the Broadmoor World Arena.

Hall of Fame
Since 1978, the Colorado Springs Sports Corporation has been promoting amateur and Olympic sports in Colorado. The organization's biggest night each year is the Colorado Springs Sports Hall of Fame when the red carpet is rolled out to honor outstanding achievements in athletics and philanthropy. This year, inductees will gather at the Broadmoor Arena on Tuesday, October 27, to be publicly recognized for their contributions to the Colorado Springs community.

The 16th Annual Hall of Fame class will include inspirational individuals like Palmer High School's Michelle Blessing, who will be inducted in recognition of her outstanding career as a professional endurance runner, cyclist and triathlete. Each year, the Hall of Fame also honors an accomplished athletic team. Last year's class saw the famous Colorado Springs Brown Bombers inducted into the Hall of Fame in recognition of their contribution as one of the city's first and most influential all-black baseball teams. The Brown Bombers challenged racial stereotypes by capturing the Colorado Springs city baseball championship two years in a row in 1949 and 1950. This year, the Hall of Fame will induct the team behind the Air Force Academy's greatest football season ever. Their 12-1 season in 1985 set school records and included a record-setting 7-1 WAC finish.

The sponsors of the 16th Annual Colorado Spring Sports Hall of Fame are ANB Bank and The Colorado Springs Gazette. Antlers Hilton Colorado Springs is thrilled to be able to offer convenient accommodations for visitors and attendees of the Hall of Fame celebration. Located directly east of Antlers Park in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs, Antlers Hilton is walking distance from pubs, coffee shops, pizzerias, museums and boutiques. Our property is only a 10-minute drive away from Broadmoor Arena on Highway 25, so consider staying with us after you attend this memorable event.
